Youth Services Facilitator

Position Summary The Youth Services Facilitator plays a vital role in delivering high-quality, hands-on programming that supports the personal, educational, and social growth of youth. This position is ideal for a passionate and energetic professional who thrives on engaging directly with young people in group settings. The Facilitator leads interactive activities, fosters meaningful connections, and creates a safe, inclusive space where every participant feels valued and empowered. Working closely with the Associate Director, the Facilitator helps youth build confidence, develop life skills, and discover their strengths. Responsibilities: Facilitate prevention and intervention Challenge Course Programs that meet Illinois State Learning Standards for K-12 youth, including Social and Emotional Goals. Support and assist with other Youth Services Programs, including, but not limited to, the Bike Safety Program, school-based programs, and community Collaborate on administrative duties to support the success of the program.  Conduct a pre- and post-program inspection of program equipment or elements to manage safety and risk factors (this includes weather and environmental hazards). Collaborate with the Associate Director to manage inventory, maintenance, and inspection of Challenge Course and portable initiatives.  Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Ability to maintain partnerships with local schools and community organizations. Additional Responsibilities: Perform all other duties assigned by the Associate Director and Director.  Ability to work some evening and weekend hours.  Applicant must hold and maintain a valid Illinois driver’s License.  Education, Experience, and Computer Skills: Professional experience in Education, Social Work, or a related field preferred.  Background in the field of facilitation is preferred.  Prior experience in youth services is desirable.  Strong written and verbal communication skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office environment.  Ability to facilitate groups of 4-25 participants.  Proficiency in Spanish is a plus.  CPR and first Aid Certified (or willingness to obtain upon hire). Physical Demands/Work Environment: Must be able to sit, walk, stand, use fingers in a repetitive motion, twist, and tum for a long period of time.
