Food Pantry
The Breanna Keenley Elk Grove Township Food Pantry is open to help address food insecurity issues in the community and serve residents in need. At our “Clients’ Choice” shopping facility, residents can choose the specific grocery items they need. The pantry has seen a continuous spike in use over the last three years and is taking proactive steps to ensure the growing needs of the community can be met. To support our mission, donations are welcome, encouraged, and accepted during normal hours of operation or by appointment.

Smaller Quantity Donations
Smaller donations of non-perishable food items and household essentials can be dropped off at 600 Landmeier Road in Elk Grove Village from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday, with extended hours until 7 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Larger Quantity Donations
For individuals or groups who would like to make larger donations, the call the Township at 224-265-6111 and schedule a pick-up time for convenience.
Holiday Progams
Thanksgiving Donation Drive
This holiday season, Elk Grove Township is working to ensure every Food Pantry family can enjoy a traditional Thanksgiving meal. With the Food Pantry currently serving an average of 1,100 families each month, community support is more important than ever. These funds will help purchase holiday meal essentials for Food Pantry clients, bringing comfort and nourishment to neighbors in need. With your help, we hope to reach our $16,000 goal and make the holiday season brighter for local families!
Ways to Make a Difference
Cereal Bowl
Cheer on your team as Elk Grove High School takes on Rolling Meadows High School in the much-anticipated Cereal Bowl football game on Friday, October 16! In the weeks leading up to kickoff, students, families, and the community are joining forces to collect cereal for Elk Grove Township’s Food Pantry.
Cereal is a quick breakfast option for families in need and seniors on fixed incomes, making every donation meaningful. Last year, thanks to our community’s incredible generosity, we collected a record-breaking 8,730 boxes of cereal, the BIGGEST year yet! Those donations helped keep the Food Pantry shelves stocked for months. With more than 1,000 families relying on the Food Pantry each month, continued community support makes an important difference.
The school that collects the most cereal will be crowned the Cereal Bowl Champion and take home the traveling trophy!
Donations will be accepted through Friday, October 16, at your school of choice. Cereal can also be dropped off at the game at Elk Grove High School (500 W. Elk Grove Blvd., Elk Grove Village). Let’s come together, support our teams, and see if we can top last year’s record!

Winter Coat Collection
Winter will soon be here! Help prepare your neighbors in need of a winter coat for the cold. Elk Grove Township and St. Paul of the Cross Church (Park Ridge) are partnering to host a winter coat drive to keep those in need warm this winter. We are seeking NEW CHILDREN’S winter coats, with larger sizes especially needed.

Cardboard for a Cause
Elk Grove Township is collecting CLEAN, BROKEN DOWN CARDBOARD to support our new, year-round Food Pantry Recycling Program. Your cardboard donations will be baled and recycled, with all proceeds going directly back into pantry supplies to help feed local families.
