Qualifications: Individual must possess a high school diploma or equivalent certificate. Minimum of one (1) year experience in food preparation, sanitation, and service. Must be able to cook adequate amounts of nutritious meals and prepare food following the facility’s policies and procedures. Must possess a sanitation certificate. Specific Requirements: Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language. Assume the authority, responsibility and accountability of Cook. Cook menu items in order to establish food service production line, etc., to ensure that meals are prepared on time. Must possess the ability to make independent decisions, follow instructions, and accept constructive criticism. Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, healthcare professionals, government agencies, and the general public. Must possess leadership ability and be able to plan, organize, develop, implement, and interpret the goals, objectives, policies, and procedures of the facility. Must be a minimum of eighteen (18) years of age. Must maintain the care and use of supplies, tools, equipment, etc. Must be willing to work harmoniously with other personnel, as well as be willing to treat residents with dignity and respect. Must possess the ability to seek out new methods and strategies and be willing to incorporate them into existing principles. Must be able to follow written and oral instructions. Create and maintain an atmosphere of warmth, personal interest, and positive emphasis as well as a calm environment throughout the department. Physical Requirements: Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday. Must be able to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position. Must possess sight and hearing senses so that the requirements of the position can be fully met. Must function independently, have flexibility, personal integrity, and ability to work effectively with residents and personnel. Must be in good general health and demonstrate emotional stability. Must be able to relate to and work with the ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, and at times, hostile people within the facility. May be required to lift, push, pull, move equipment, supplies, etc. in excess of fifty (50) pounds. Must be able to assist in the evacuation of residents Responsibilities: Cook a variety of foods in large quantities, following standard recipes, but also able to make independent decisions where situations arise Must take initiative and use sound judgment in setting up meals and utilizing food products and supplies Understanding the hazards and issues of improper food preparation and handling Must have knowledge of food service equipment and supplies, seasoning, characteristics of general diets and restricted diets, and a willingness to prepare foods in the best interest of the residents of the facility Clean and maintain the equipment used, including but not limited to, pots, pans, utensils, stoves, grills, ovens, etc. Must be able to organize refrigerators, freezers, storage pace, and shelving units so an orderly kitchen can be maintained Must be aware of proper food preparation techniques and temperatures and be sure adequate amounts of nutritious foods are cooked Must be knowledgeable in proper food and equipment sanitation and hygienic methods of food preparation Must be creative and innovative and assist in making suggestions for resident meals, snacks, and substitutions Assist in serving meals to residents and cleaning resident dining rooms after meals Dispose of food and waste in accordance with established policies. Alert Culinary Manager of all necessary repairs or maintenance needed for equipment. Summary: As our Safety Specialist, you will be responsible for implementing and executing safety programs that effectively control accident, health, and property loss exposures.  Duties: Oversees all activities required by worker compensation laws, OSHA, and corporate policy for the  management and mitigation of claims and financial losses to the Company, and for Safety Training and Education for operation.  Develops and fosters a Company-wide safety culture through safety training, risk assessments, and behavior modification programs.  Salary: $75k – $90k Physical Demands/Work Environment: Manufacturing plant environment with varied temperatures including hot, cold, and freezer. The work environment includes a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, working on high places, and/or exposure to chemicals in work setting. Qualifications: Individual must possess Supportive Living or Skilled Nursing background. Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in Compliance and Medicaid for long term care facility and/or other agencies. Individual should have prior experience serving as a liaison between families, healthcare professionals and administration. Knowledgeable in LIHTC, HUD, fair housing, HIPPA, and other programs. Responsibilities: Ensure that move-in paperwork is complete and that all necessary forms are completed and distributed to the DCR. Assist family and residents with move-in process. Work with Compliance and Medicaid to make sure all necessary paperwork is submitted with the application. Follow up with family to make sure that all paperwork/documents are gathered correctly Act as the primary liaison to the family for Sales, Compliance and Medicaid and utilize customer service skills to communicate additional information that is needed for the application to be approved. Complete criminal background check, order DON screening, gather medical information necessary for move-in. Submit Medicaid applications, complete Medicaid redeterminations Meet with families and/or prospective residents to help facilitate the application process. Enter new resident required information into Yardi upon move-in. Act as a back-up to the Lifestyle Specialist when needed. Respond to all new inquiries immediately (phone-ins and walk-ins) or before the end of the day. Skillfully interview prospects or their representatives to identify how Grand Lifestyles may meet their needs. Effectively communicate and explain the application processing policy, and the current resident referral policy the types of floor plans, the basic features of each type and the availability of units within the community; Monitor Vacant Units onsite vs System tracking. Partnering with ED/Maintenance Manager on unit readiness and compliance the financial criteria required to move in, including conducting a pre-qualification on potential residents to ensure they are appropriate and meet the financial guidelines of the community. Provide prospective residents with a list of documents and all state-mandated information required. Coordinate move-in dates and apartment assignments for new residents in accordance with open apartments and vacant units. Communicate with and involve appropriate community team members in the decision-making process required to determine residency. ADDITIONAL DUTIES: Maintain regular contact with prospective residents and their families to validate their interest and move them towards an approved application and record updates to customer information in YARDI. Work with the Executive Director to communicate to team members information on sales issues impacting other departments. Perform related duties as assigned or as the situation dictates Requirements: Must have strong customer service, communication, and organization skills. Must demonstrate empathy and compassion to connect with customers. Must maintain confidentiality, especially with respect to resident health and financial information. Familiarity with computer-based software and applications for capturing sales data and word processing, in addition to knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, email and Internet functions. Understanding and effective implementation of all appropriate fair housing regulations. Must prepare all resident initial and recertification lease packages for signing, including addendums, HIPPA authorizations, Tenant Income Certification, and extraneous documents in an organized fashion The ability to read, write and follow oral and written direction in the English language at a level adequate to perform the job duties. The Ability to effectively communicate, verbally and in writing, with potential customers, families, and the public. Ability to work with the geriatric population. Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays when necessary. Must be able to assist in the evacuation of residents. Must have experience in processing income verifications, mortgage processing, and/or tax credit regulations. Must be able to inform of federal, state, and local policy, and community specific regulatory requirements such as LIHTC, HUD, fair housing, HIPPA, and other programs.
