Part-Time Evening Receptionist

Position Summary The Part-Time Evening Receptionist is responsible for greeting and assisting visitors entering through the west side entrance of the Township building, providing administrative and logistical support to staff working evening programs, and ensuring the security and orderly flow of activity during extended service hours. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Serve as the first point of contact for visitors, residents, and program participants entering through the west entrance. Monitor walk-in traffic and maintain a welcoming and safe environment. Answer and direct phone calls; take messages and relay them to appropriate staff. Provide basic information about Township programs and evening activities. Support evening staff with room access, materials, and program coordination needs. Maintain awareness of building activity and immediately report or assist with any safety or emergency concerns in coordination with the Administrator or Facilities staff. Ensure that front doors are properly secured at closing time. Perform light clerical or data entry tasks as needed. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to Township policies and procedures. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous experience in customer service, reception, or clerical support preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently. Dependable, professional, and attentive to detail. Basic computer and phone system proficiency. Working Conditions: Position is located at the west entrance of the Township building. Evening hours only; Monday–Thursday. Regular interaction with the public and Township staff in a busy environment. Work Environment: Elk Grove Township maintains a professional work environment where employees are expected to uphold a high standard of conduct, dress, and professionalism in their interactions with the public and colleagues. Maintenance Technician

Experienced and detail oriented individual needed. Candidate must posses excellent communication, janitorial and basic repair kill.
