“In-Transit” Community Job Board
Rotates driving one of three (3) Elk Grove Township buses (passenger units equipped with handicap lifts) within Township boundaries. Hours of operation are 9:00a.m. - 4:00p.m.
Reports to Director of Administrative Services and works closely with Township Transportation team that book reservations and coordinates daily transportation process.
Day-to-Day Operations:
- Review the itinerary each day prior to the start of the route
- Transport all senior citizens & disabled passengers requesting trips to dialysis, doctor appointments, shopping, senior centers, special trips, etc.
- Assist in coordinating passenger pick-up times and return trips home
- Keep Administrative personnel informed of any concerns about all passengers' health and their ability to travel (e.g., ambulatory, confused, etc.).
Safety Training:
- Complete training for First Aid and CPR/Defibrillator use
- Trained on passenger safety: handicap lift on all Township vehicles, including use of restraints for wheelchair hook-up(s)
Maintenance:
- Perform safety checks (oil levels, conditions of tires, brake lights, mirrors, directionals, emergency brake) on the bus each morning before beginning route to ensure all are in good working order and communicate any safety/maintenance issues
- Fueling buses and recording usage amount for financial record-keeping
- Responsible for periodic bus cleaning throughout the year
Skills:
- Excellent communication skills
- Able to interact with diverse groups of people
- Capable of following established rules & guidelines of transportation program
Requirements:
- Hold a CDL with a 'P' (passenger) endorsement and keep CDL current
- Temperament to work with seniors and disabled bus passengers
Other:
- Duties that may be assigned such as assiting with creating daily bus routes, occasional office work, distributing approved Township information to bus riders and being versed in other Township assistance programs

Shipping Associate
Daily & Monthly Responsibilities:
- Coordinate shipments of products with Production and Scheduling staff
- Support facilities projects on a regular basis
- Responsible for maintaining stock item levels
- Oversees the printing, picking, packing, releasing and assembly of customer orders
- Participates in the resolution of any orders that have inventory issues
- Verifies materials against receiving documents noting and reporting discrepancies and obvious damages as well as receiving and dispatching inbound materials in ERP
- Coordinates pick up or delivery of orders
- Assists in the segregation of hazardous material
- Plays a lead role in the development of the shipping/receiving team
- Accurate Order Fulfillment and Shipping
- Execute Cycle Counts as directed
- Maintain clean, well-organized, and effective workspace
- Execute international shipping process
- Plays an active role in promoting and enforcing safety measures and procedures
- Other duties as assigned
Skills & Qualifications:

- Beginner to intermediate computer software skills to include experience with Email, MS Office, Adobe, etc.
- High School Diploma
- Experience working in manufacturing plus, but neither are mandatory

Experience:
- Shipping and receiving 1 year (preferred)
- Some experience is necessary. Great attitude, an eagerness to learn, and a desire to have fun while servicing customers.

Job Title:
Export/Warehouse Coordinator
Office Responsibilities:
- Data entry and prepare documents for Air and Ocean Export shipments.
- Communicate with customers, vendors, overseas offices by email and phone
- Ensure the accuracy of documents
- Receive invoices from vendors and process payment to the accounting dept
- Invoice shipments to the customers
Typical Duties:
- Unload/load shipments in the warehouse using a forklift, pallet jack
- Warehouse work including palletizing, inventory, labeling
- Receive, and inspect new products for defects, ship out and send report to the customer
- Other duties may be assigned as the need arises.
