Ways To Donate
Food Pantry
The Breanna Keenley Elk Grove Township Food Pantry is open to help address food insecurity issues in the community and serve residents in need. At our “Clients’ Choice” shopping facility, residents can choose the specific grocery items they need. The pantry has seen a continuous spike in use over the last three years and is taking proactive steps to ensure the growing needs of the community can be met. To support our mission, donations are welcome, encouraged, and accepted during normal hours of operation or by appointment.

Monthly Food Pantry Campaign
Pet Food Drive
Did you know pet food isn’t covered by SNAP benefits? For many families, this means a tough choice between feeding themselves and their beloved pets. To help combat this issue, for the entire month of August, the Food Pantry is launching a special Pet Food Drive to ensure our furry friends don’t go hungry! It’s the perfect time to recognize the vital role our pets play in our lives and for our mental health. A list of items needed can be found in the accompanying graphic.
Every donation helps! Donations can be dropped off at 600 Landmeier Rd, between 9 a.m. – 4 p.m., Monday through Friday. Donation packages are also accepted from Amazon, UPS, FedEx, and USPS. Please remember to include a note with your name and address so that a thank you note can be sent to you!
For large donations, the Township may be able to schedule a pick-up time. Please call 224-265-6111 for more information.
Holiday Programs
Thanksgiving Donation Drive
We are asking community members to help us ensure each Township resident who utilizes our food pantry receives a Thanksgiving meal. Because our food pantry serves over 1,000 families a month, we will be holding a monetary drive to make that happen. These funds will be used to purchase items for a complete Thanksgiving meal for our food pantry clients. Because of you, we reached our goal of $12,000 last year, please help us reach our goal of $14,000 this year!
Donations can be mailed in with the form found in the Township’s Summer newsletter or can be made directly online with the ‘donate’ button below.
Holiday Gift Drive
Sponsor a child or children in the community by providing families with a $50 gift card to a local retailer. This is a gift that gives TWICE! Parents get the job of purchasing gifts for their children and kids get exactly what they whispered for in Santa’s ear!
Registration and more information will be available in the Township’s Fall newsletter.
Older Adult Angel Tree
Beginning November 1st, an ‘Angel Tree will be displayed in each lobby of the Elk Grove Township building. Low-income seniors (65+) will be invited to place a gift wish on the tree to receive from a generous community member. We invite you to visit the Township after November 1st during normal business hours (Monday – Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.) to take an ornament with the designated wish to make a seniors holiday MERRY & BRIGHT!
