Substitute Teachers (2024-2025 School Year)
About Us:
We are a diverse three-school elementary district serving approximately 2,000 elementary students from Bensenville and portions of Wood Dale and Addison. In 2022, the Illinois State Board of Education rated each of our schools “Commendable.”
Our schools deliver a strong core education program by providing comprehensive instruction in reading, writing math, science, social science, art, music, physical education, social-emotional learning, and STEAM skills. We also offer special education, ESL services, pre-kindergarten classes, full-day kindergarten, and a dual language program.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Implement lesson plans provided by the absent teacher.
- Maintain a positive and supportive classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Follow school policies to ensure the safety and well-being of students.
- Communicate effectively with school staff, students, and parents as needed.
Required:
Professional Educator License for Substitute Teacher issued by the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE)

Salary:
- Part-Time
- $150/day
- Paid shadow day for all new substitutes
