Paraprofessionals/Teaching Assistants (2024-2025 School Year)
About Us:
We are a diverse three-school elementary district serving approximately 2,000 elementary students from Bensenville and portions of Wood Dale and Addison. In 2022, the Illinois State Board of Education rated each of our schools “Commendable.”
Our schools deliver a strong core education program by providing comprehensive instruction in reading, writing math, science, social science, art, music, physical education, social-emotional learning, and STEAM skills. We also offer special education, ESL services, pre-kindergarten classes, full-day kindergarten, and a dual language program.
Overview:
The district is looking for full-time Paraprofessionals to assist in a classroom setting under the supervision of a certified instructor.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assists with the preparation and adoption of instructional materials.
- Assist with the supervision, escorting, and instruction of students, as directed.
- Assists the teacher with all aspects of the daily instructional program.
- Assist with the maintenance of accurate records on student progress.
- Participates in staff development activities as directed by contract.
- Performs other duties as may be assigned by administration.
- Other duties as assigned may include supervision of areas but are not limited to classrooms, washrooms, playgrounds, before and after school supervision, as well as general supervision of cafeteria, library, hallways, and other instructional settings as determined by administrators.
Qualifications:
- Excellent Communication Skills
- Basic Computer Knowledge
- Must love working with children
- Paraprofessional Licensure

Salary:
- Full-time
- $16.50/hours
- Stipend for bilingual or SpEd
- Hours: 8am – 3:30pm
- 35 hours a week, 7 hours a day
